Inklingo makes diamonds more portable and more fun.

MONKEY EXERCISE # 1 The one-inch diamond is compatible with Monkey Exercise # 1, but you should use the Suggested Custom Page sizes in the shape collection, instead of the ones in the pattern. (The original layout for diamonds on the Shape Collection # 1 CD were modified for the downloadable version.)
In the past, English Paper Piecing was the favorite choice for a portable project, to avoid marking the seam lines, but Inklingo’s precise lines for stitching and cutting—perfectly printed by the hundreds on the fabric—changed all that.
Special Features If you have Inklingo Shape Collection # 1 on CD, you have the diamond and some of the related shapes already. The download offers some improvements, and the long half diamond, as described in the PDF file at the bottom of this page.

Diamonds with one-inch sides are great for six-pointed stars. The 60 degree triangles (and half) are also used in many wonderful designs. See the Pattern Ideas below.
STITCH BY HAND OR BY MACHINE
A running stitch is the first hand stitch any sewer learns, and piecing by hand is simple, portable, and relaxing. You can follow the assembly directions in any book or pattern, but we recommend that you refer to THE INKLINGO HANDBOOK for instructions that will help you piece this beautiful, classic shape, by hand or by machine.
Inklingo also provides each shape without seam allowances, so if you prefer English Paper Piecing for some reason, you can print the templates and cut the paper with a rotary cutter or scissors.
Experienced quilter? You will find these diamonds easy to cut and sew, thanks to Inklingo’s precise lines for stitching and cutting, printed on the fabric.
New to Inklingo? GETTING STARTED

New to quilting? The diamonds in this collection are a nice size for a beginner with basic sewing skills. If you are a complete novice, the instructions for hand and machine piecing in The Inklingo Handbook will get you started. Thanks to Inklingo, you can use scissors if you don’t have a rotary cutter and mat (yet).
